Soil and Water
Soil and water conservation is also a concern of the landowner. Currently the property has little to no problem with soil erosion as the property has a nearly level topography. The elevation within the property boundaries varies between a low of 95’ above sea level along the shoreline of Cherry Lake to a high of 145’ above sea level within the northwestern portion of the property. To avoid adverse effects on water quality, water bars or other water diversion materials (such as native plantings) will be placed where and if any erosion does occur.
The picture above outlines the soils, the typical native vegetation that occurs on them, their productivity and site index. The soils within the Tract range from very poorly to excessively drained and have a moderate to high natural fertility in regards to pine production
